Its the month of December and some events will be happening before Christmas break. Tickets for the dance went on sale Wednesday and some are already interested.Today after school is the second meeting for the dance. Today is also the SGA Lucheon. Different charity deadlines and events are also coming up.

If we decide to do the sock drive, people need to start bringing in socks because the deadline is December 9th, 2011. (Next Friday)

On December 9th, 2011, we are going to help Urban Ministries do a canned food drive. The drive will be from 5:30-7:30 at the old Goodys store.

We just held the monthly meeting and we had a lot of fun with it. The other schools had fun with the games we prepared and then they told us some of the events they are doing at their school. Operation Christmas Child boxes were brought to Methodist yesterday. Great job SGA on making 6 boxes.

We have started off strong in preparing for the dance. The committees have got together and discussed decorations and ways to promote the holiday dance. A sock drive has begun and we need to decide if we are doing it or not.

SGA has finished our shoe boxes for Operation Christmas Child and other homerooms will be wrapping up their boxes too. The monthly meeting agenda is complete but we are still unsure of a senior talking about the college experience. Our new mission will be the dance and different committees need to start being created to plan for the dance.

Reforest the Forest at Pine Forest HS will be Saturday November 5th, 2011. This is not just a community service opportunity for SGA but also the whole school so promote it.

Since doing the Plus, Minus, Delta we have discovered what an excellent job we have done although there is room for improvement. Going to SGA events is harder for some people so we need to put together a car pool list. The holidays are quickly approaching so kids shoe boxes need to start being put together for Operation Christmas Child.

During this week, we have dicussed SGA dues, t-shirts, the pageant, an event for the International Folk Festival, and the Tree Planting Day.

The majority has spoken and we have created what our 2011-2012 SGA t-shirts will look like! On September 13 Cross Creek will be having another outting and this time at Texas Road House from 4 p.m.-10 p.m. 10% of what you pay will go back to our school. Also in September on the 23, the International Folk Festival will be in town. Either a charity event or a school outting will be related to this event. Thursday October 6, 2011 will be the date for this years Cross Creek Pageant. This motion was passed with two opposers. Lastly, SGA students from the county will be planting trees for Pine Forest on November 5, 2011.

Our 2nd Annual Talent Show was a very huge success. This week, we've been talking about our last SGA outing we can go to on the summer.
2. Old Business
We raised $300 from our 2nd annual Talent Show and writing a check to Student Services. For our outing, we're deciding between Wet N' Wild and Carowinds. We are still trying to work out the transportation, but we're making moves.
3. Adjournment

We have been promoting our Talent Show, which is Friday. From the Easter Egg Hunt, we made about $70, and we are writing a check to Student Service for care packages that are to be giving to the students who were affected by the tornado.

This week, we have been working on our Honors Council Portfolio. Also, we've been discussing some ideas that we have for a school outing and possibly another SGA outing.

Everything for Honors Council should be turned in March 4, 2011 since it's due March 9, 2011 and we're going to be on Spring Break.

For New Business, we've been discussing things that we can do as a school for the school outing, such as Bowling and Skating.

1. Minutes
This week, we've been doing our Honors Council in order for it to be turned in on March 1, 2011. We've been deciding on how to help out with the EOC Pep Rally and our "Fun Week" that goes along wit the Pep Rally and Talent Show.
2. Old Business
The EOC Pep Rally is coming up and we're deciding on how to provide the funds for the cookout. We're also getting further in our Honors Council portfolio, in which people are bringing things in our typing things up for that. SGA has also decided some of the members will be staying after school Monday to get further along on our portfolio. SGA has also decided to start A-Day, B-Day again.

1. Minutes
We've decided that we are going to Honors Council and are currently working on it. All this week, we've been selling Valentines Day Grams. We've also gotten our 'Jeans For Teens' to a very high number and we are going to turn those in Saturday on our outing.
2. Old Business
Our Valentines Day sales are going good and we will deliver them on Monday. Jeans For Teens is coming to a close and we are going to turn them into Aeropostale on Saturday when we're at our outing.

We have been planing out the things we need for our Honors Council Binder and we're going to complete that at a later date.

1. Minutes
This week, we have been finishing up our Valentines Day planning. On Tuesday, the Jeans for Teens drive started as the SGA went around to R-Times to announce the Jeans for Teens details. We also approved a budget of $60 for lollipops, and submitted a proposal to Mrs. Chalmers to get the approval for the activities we planned. We also have proposed Pennies for Past inside the SGA.

Mr. Huffman brought up Pennies for Pasta which should be planned further by the Community Service committee. Other new business includes planning for other Fundraising and Community Service . Also EOC pep rally being introduced. Mr. Dunn's last day at Cross Creek is Friday (2/4/11); lets think of something to do before he leaves.

1. Minutes
This week, we've been planning things for this month and next month, such as community service, meetings, ect. We've also talked about the dance and how big of a success it was, what we could have done to make it better, and what we didn't like.
2. Old Business
The dance was a huge success! We reflected on it, planned what we can do better, and giving our thoughts on it. The dodge ball game is January 7, 2011 at 6:00 P.M At Terry Sandford. Teams need to be there at 5:30 P.M.
3. New Business
We have been discussing community services that we could do. One of our new options were the Jeans for Jeans at Aeropostale. We will also be starting A-Day, B-Day next week. SGA has a mandatory meeting January 13, 2011 at 4:30-5:30.
